Privacy Policy

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains what data AniRise ("we", "the app", "the service") collects when you use our mobile application, and how we process and protect it.

By using the app, you agree to the collection and processing of data described in this document.

2. Data we collect

We only collect data that is necessary for the app's features to work:

• Account data: email address, name, and an encrypted password when you sign up with email; or email, name, and profile photo when you sign in with Google or Apple.
• A profile photo you choose to upload from your camera or photo library.
• A push notification device token (FCM), used only to deliver episode-airing reminders.
• Your list of favorited titles and the reminder settings for each of them.
• Comments you post under a title, along with your display name and the posting date.
• Your selected interface language.
• Technical server data: IP address and request timestamps, used solely for abuse prevention (rate limiting) and not otherwise linked to your identity.

3. How we use your data

• To create and authenticate your account.
• To display your profile, favorites, and comments within the app.
• To send push notifications when new episodes of your favorited titles air.
• To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.

4. Third-party services

We rely on the following third-party services, which may process some of your data under their own privacy policies:

• Firebase Authentication (Google) — stores credentials and handles sign-in.
• Google Sign-In and Sign in with Apple — for signing in with a third-party account, if you choose to use one.
• Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) — delivers push notifications to your device.

5. Data storage and security

Profile data, favorites, and comments are stored on our servers in a secured database. We apply reasonable technical measures (encrypted connections, restricted access) to protect your data from unauthorized access.

6. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account, we remove the associated personal data, except where retention is required by law.

7. Your rights

At any time, you can:

• Update your name and profile photo in the Profile section.
• Disable push notifications in the app or device settings.
• Delete individual comments you have posted.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us at privacy@aniradar.app.

8. Children's privacy

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from users in that age group.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app. The date at the top of this document reflects the latest revision.
